This trip will have a really attractive experience because it will set you aside to go in the space for few hours, from Sicily to Calabria, travelling from the island to the Italian peninsula, crossing the Straits of Messina by ferry - an exquisite drive across the blue sea with hills on either side.

Just the once on board the ferry, a fine-looking and very romantic panorama appears in front of us, embracing both Italy and Sicily, separated by only 3 kilometers of sea, framed by the green hills on either side.
After traveling about half an hour of we reach Villa San Giovanni, and from there we will drive to Reggio Calabria where you can visit in your own time, the National Archeological Museum for which credit goes to our drivers with the information given to you. This museum contains important collections from Grecian times and the renowned Riace Bronzes, two very beautiful Greek sculptures discovered accidentally by fishermen in 1972 in the sea near the town of Riace, only 200 metres from the coast and at a depth of 8 metres.
When you have finished your travel to the museum, we will take you by car to the sea-front of Reggio Calabria, which is said to be one of the most stunning in Italy because of its dazzling views along the coast of Sicily, where you can have a quick snack, then we will head to Villa San Giovanni to take the ferry back to Sicily.
By a terrible earthquake in 1908, almost all were destroyed bu Messina still manages to retain some traces of its past, such as ornate fountains and buildings that recall the Spanish domination. Here, thanks to the suggestion given by our drivers through which you can visit by walking the small and pleasant historical centre, a main shopping area full of elegant shops, and then the attractive Cathedral square, with its characteristic bell tower â the biggest mechanical and astronomical clock in the world. After that, we will drive you up into the hills for a last, magical look across the Straits.
At the finish of this full day tour we will take you back to your hotel, full of unbelievable images and memories that you will always remember.
