This time New Travel Services suggests an excursion that isn’t about sightseeing but, instead, is about discovering the true Sicilian cuisine, thanks to the valued recommendations of our renowned chef. You will, in fact, have the opportunity to follow an intensive course in authentic Sicilian cooking in Taormina, the capital of Sicilian tourism.

One of our luxurious cars will collect you from your hotel and drive you directly to Taormina, to the archway of “Porta Messina”, where you will leave the car and be accompanied to the local market of Taormina. Here, thanks to Mimmo's advice, you can taste and buy the necessary local products and then we will take them to the “Nettuno da Siciliano” restaurant, which belongs to Mimmo's family.
Here Francesca and Angelo will be waiting for you and, with patience and enthusiasm, they will demonstrate the invaluable secrets of the art of Sicilian cooking.
You will be provided with aprons to prepare a full menu all together, which includes the famous “caponata alla siciliana, macaroni alla Norma, “le alice alla Beccafico” (stuffed anchovies) or fresh fish in ghiotta (sauce).
Our team will show you what to choose at the market and how best to prepare the typical Sicilian ingredients, and how to cook and blend them together. At the end of this cooking lesson you will be able to prepare a real Sicilian banquet, with the flavours and colours from the Mediterranean sea, the hot Sicilian sun and this fertile land.
We will wash and cut the vegetables, prepare the fresh tomato sauce, knead the dough for the macaroni which will be made one by one using the traditional “ferretto” .
The fish bought from the fish shop will be cleaned and you will be shown how to prepare the recipe. Then we will sit at the table to taste the final result. All the dishes will be accompanied by a fine selection of Sicilian wines.

At the end the participants will receive an apron and a Sicilian Chef Diploma. After this experience our car will take you back to your hotel.
